Farm Service Agency (FSA) Guaranteed Loans

Mound City Bank works extensively with guaranteed loans and has obtained Preferred Lender Program (PLP) status to better serve you.

w  Used by farmers who do not qualify for     conventional financing.
w  The money is borrowed from the bank.
w  Our qualified lending personnel complete all     loan documentation.
w  FSA guarantees up to 90% of any losses on     the loan to the bank.
w  Lines of credit, personal property loans, and     real estate loans available.

FSA Beginning Farmer Down Payment Loans

w  Program for qualified beginning farmers to     purchase land.
w  Applicant must make a 5% cash down     payment.
w  FSA directly lends 45% of purchase price     up to $225,000 with a 20-year term and a     fixed interest rate as low as 1.5%..
w  Mound City Bank lends 50% of the     purchase price with a 30-year amortization.

Wisconsin Housing and Economic Development Authority

w  WHEDA CROP loans provide up to 80%     guaranteed loan amounts of greater than     $50,000.00 for expenses for farmers who do     not qualify for conventional financing.
w  WHEDA FARM is a guaranteed loan program     for producers who wish to expand or     modernize an existing operation.
w  Other fees and restrictions may apply.
