Ann & Leo Stoll Jr. Charitable Trust
Ann & Leo left a wonderful legacy to carry on for many years through their Charitable Trust.
Grants are given out each year to 501 (c) (3) organizations that are located or operated within the Dickeyville, Platteville and Potosi areas and are devoted to religious, charitable, scientific, testing for public safety, literary, education purposes to foster national or international amateur sports competition, or for the prevention of cruelty to children or animals.
In addition to their Charitable Trust, annual scholarships were established under the names of Ann and Leo Stoll Jr. High School seniors from the Dickeyville, Platteville and Potosi areas can apply for these scholarships. The Ann Stoll scholarship is for students pursuing a career in broadcast journalism and the Leo Stoll Jr. scholarship is for students pursuing a career in business management.
Ann & Leo Stoll
Leo was born in Potosi, WI on November 22, 1919. Leo attended grade school and graduated from Potosi High School in 1937 then moved to Milwaukee to attend Marquette University. Leo returned to Potosi to work for his father for a few months before moving to California. On August 28, 1948 he married Ann Schollmeyer who was also a Wisconsin native. Upon Ann’s death in 2007, Leo returned to Platteville, Wisconsin to be close to family until his death in 2012.
